Artisan Breads
Our artisan breads are baked fresh every morning, and offered in 24 flavors on a regularly rotating basis. If you have a special request or a specific variety that you’d like to see in our store, give us a call, and we’ll happily prepare your order in advance for the next time you stop in.
- Buttermilk - A country white bread made with buttermilk for a creamy soft texture with a tight crumb and a mild crust.
- Multigrain - A moist bread filled with seeds and grains, sweetened with molasses and honey. Made with 50% whole grains.
- Tomato Olive or Tomato Herb - A bright orange bread with a tangy tomatoey flavor, made with or without kalamata olives.
- Sourdough - A round boule with a subtle tang from the natural yeasts and long slow rise. A crisp-chewy crust with a chewy moist interior. Available daily except Tuesdays.
- French Baguette - A classic french baguette with a crusty exterior and a chewy interior. Available daily except Tuesdays.
- Classic or Herbed Ciabatta - The classic Italian “slipper” bread, very moist with big airy interior holes and a chewy crust, made with herbs or without.
- Spiced Fruit - A melange of harvest spices, including cinnamon and cardamom, studded with dried fruit. Available seasonally.
- Basil-Pesto - Parmesan cheese, basil and a touch of garlic combine for this green, yet delicious loaf.
- Shaker Squash Rolls – A rich, yellow bread with a faint sweetness, in a ring of nine pull-apart rolls.
- Garlic Scape - Mellower than a traditional garlic bread, this is made with the scallions of the garlic world. Available seasonally.
- Citrus Wheatberry - A subtly sweet bread infused with both lemon and orange zest, studded with whole wheat grains.
- Sauerkraut Rye - A dense and especially tangy loaf of rye, made with ground caraway and mustard seeds.
- Maple Pecan - A light wheat bread, flavored with real, local maple syrup and toasted pecans.
- Mediterranean Date - An unusual savory bread featuring lemon zest, rosemary and chopped dates in a mild wheat dough.
- Onion Poppy - Caramelized onions and poppy seeds combine to make this soft, fragrant loaf.
- 100% Whole Wheat - The slightest touch of honey and local maple syrup round out this bread, made from white whole wheat and wheat flour sourced locally from Canterbury.
- Four Cheese - Cottage, cheddar, provolone and parmesan cheeses combine for this rich, dense bread.
- Roasted Potato - Unlike what you may find in a grocery store, this Italian country bread is studded with roasted red potatoes.
- Cinnamon Raisin - A classic cinnamon raisin swirl.
- Challah - The traditional braided Jewish egg bread. Seasonal or by special request.
- Honey Oat - One of our best sellers, this versatile oatmeal bread features molasses and honey.
- Three Seed - Soft and rich on the inside, this golden loaf is studded with sunflower, poppy and sesame seeds.
